A beautiful art deco pool right on the edge of the sea. Weston-Super-Mare Lido was famous for it's diving stage. It was a main feature of the pool and very much part of the skyline.
Great Yarmouth Lido was the centre for high diving thrills. Crowds flocked and were thrilled to witness the dare devil antics.
Sudbury Vale Farm was a playground of fun, healthy exercise and where the sun always seemed to shine. A wonderful lido.
Purley Way Pool Diving Boards now English Heritage Listed saw many exhibitions. The pool was an inland seaside with beaches and ozone treated water.
St Leonards Hastings and its fabulous pool. Interestingly designed and huge. Crowds collected not only inside but on the prom to watch the many aqua shows.

Scarborough South Shore . A Priceless Pool! just underneath the cliffs. Many a National event was held here and the crowds never lacked for spectacular events.
Pwllheli Butlins Swimming Pool. The typical design of all Mr Butlins Pools. This one is particularly beautiful set with the back drop of Snowdonia.
Portobello's Historic Opening Day. The pool was the first to ever have developed the wave machine...and...Sean Connery was a Lifeguard!
The Lido Margate. Buzzing, colourful and brimming with events. This vibrant pool could be seen from the top of the high terraces, which were buzzing with entertainment below.
Gorlesden Lido and Floral Hall. Built on the site of the original Pleasure Gardens. It brimmed with attractions. Again, swimming, with dining and dancing was the order of a visit.

A beautiful pool set within the castle grounds of Tamworth. Shallow area forefront. Deep water beyond barrier. An oasis of tremendous fun and hosting Midland Diving Championships and shows.
The original Woodcock Street baths in Birmingham. The second build was to become a famous TV Gala Championship Bath. Everyone flooded to Woodcock Street to witness the highs and lows of Midlands competition.

After 23 years this wonderful Lido - Baylis Lido Slough closed. This picture was taken in 1995 the Lido overtaken by nature. An oasis amongst the industrial side of the town. Surrounded with parkland.
