Albatross History-1-1979 In their swanky new colours Albatross Diving Club witnessed two new Gold Champs at Southern Counties plain diving age group – Diana Seward and newcomer Andrew Parsons in the equivalent event
County Champs Gold went to Marianne Green with Louise Taylor grabbing the Silver. One never knew which way round it would be! …
…and a very closely contested medal placing went to Paul Holton who took the Bronze. Caroline Knollys; Penny Herring;, Diana Seward and Beverley Taplin were all to be commended for steady streamlined diving.
Three more plain diving newcomers at the County Champs –
Gold for Andrew Parsons (pic. top) to add to his Southern Counties medal; Stephen Bristow grabbed the Silver.
Stephen Rice won the silver in the under 13 plain diving event.
A highboard team event took place against Amersham. Albatross swooped to victory by 8 points:
