1934 and closed in 1988.

– the Municipal Swimming Pool was initially opposed by residents in 1929.

Plans were drawn up for an upgrade project in 1996. Mr David Hopkins – the Park Road boss looked to the future. He was hopeful of bringing facilities into the modern age.

I managed this one as part of the Park Road pools during the 70’s and 80’s along with Tottenham Lido(Lordship Lane) and Wood Green Lido (Durnsford Rd). Had duraflex springboards put in to go with the 10m and it was well used for open air diving by clubs.
