Albatross History-4-1980 Victorious Albatross divers soared to Alton match
Albatross History-4-1980 Club Captains Caroline Knollys and Andrew Parsons accepted a Trophy on behalf of the Albatross Diving Team who spread their wings and were victorious over Alton and District Diving Club. New team divers were amongst those travelling to Alton and representing Albatross on poolside. The team were namely:
Girls – Abigail Child; Juliet Green; Sarah Weaver (Top pic) and Fiona Pimm
Boys – Malcolm Green; Mark Stroud; Euan Meek; and David Weaver – (a Weaver family concern!)
One metre was dived by those with a little more diving training and names we’ve mostly come across before – winning medals and ribbons. John Cahill and Richard Shearing were new members and with their previous commitment to their training on joining the club qualified to take the trip and enter this event.
Girls: Fiona; Sarah; Juliet and Abigail really enjoyed their experience.
Boys: John Cahill; Richard Shearing and on poolside David Weaver made this event one of many to come.
