Michael Turner top picture – had had no experience of diving. He wasn’t able get into the water head first. After many poolside exercises he graduated to the boards and achieved his goal of diving in all directions which is necessary for higher levels of competitions. Through his dedication and tireless efforts, unbelievably, after such a short time, he was entered into the Men’s Southern Counties 3 metre springboard Championship at Crystal Palace . His preliminary dives saw him through to the final where he achieved an incredible sixth place.
