Louise Taylor and Marianne and Juliet Green were hoping to be picked for a friendly International with Germany to be held in Monheim.  Strict training was on the horizon,  whilst Mr David Taylor looked for Sponsorship to help pay for any expenses and to generally support the Albatross Diving Club for any extraordinary expenses in the future.
Well David clinched it!  Not one but TWO Sponsors
Denton & Gibson Ltd – Builders  and  Thomas & Co Builders were the first Sponsors of the Club.  Louise and Marianne modelling the new Tee Shirts.
Meanwhile the Club members were going from strength to strength,  training and learning new dives to add to their lists.  March of that year seven divers took part in an Open National Age Group at Feltham and competed with 22 clubs.  The Albatross Team finished third over all.  Marvellous achievement.
